【摘要】:Flashpointmeasurestheresponseofthespecimenofthesampletoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.Itisonlyoneofanumberofpropertiesthatmustbeconsideredinassessingtheoverallflammabilityhazardofamaterial.Flashpointisusedinshippingandsafetyregulationstodefineflammableandcombustiblematerialsandclassifythem.Oneshouldconsulttheparticularregulationinvolvedforprecisedefinitionsoftheseclasses.Flashpointcanindicatethepossiblepresenceofhighlyvolatileandflammablematerialsinarelativelynonvolatileornonflammablematerial.Requiressmallersample(2to4mL)andthereforereducedtesttime(1to2min).1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresforthedeterminationoftheflashpointbyasmallscaleclosedtester.Theproceduresmaybeusedtodeterminetheactualflashpointtemperatureofasampleorwhetheraproductwillorwillnotflashataspecifiedtemperature(flash/noflash).Whenusedinconjunctionwithanelectronicthermalflashdetector,thesetestmethodsarealsosuitableforflashpointtestsonfattyacidmethylesters(FAME).1.2&si-value;1.3Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduseThisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Warningstatementsappearthroughout.SeealsotheMaterialSafetyDataSheetsfortheproductbeingtested.
